Ferrari F1 drivers able to defeat Schumacher in 2010
Ferrari team prinicpal Stefano Domenicali has made it clear, that both Ferrari drivers, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa have what’s required to defeat Michael in the forthcoming 2010 F1 World Championship. In speaking to reporters at the annual Ferrari ski event at Modonna di Campiglio, Stefano commented “Fernando has everything to beat him…Let’s not forget Fernando is the only driver on the track who in his career has beaten Michael (to an F1 title)”.

Michael Schumacher has written a letter, being printed in the Italian media paying tribute to his Ferrari fans. It is now known, that the German superstar, will join Mercedes GP as of the 2010 season. “For 14 years I was a part of Ferrari and for 14 years Ferrari was a part of me,” Michael said. “A sizable chunk of Ferrari will always stay in my heart.

Ferrari may have breached the FIA imposed test ban according to a pitpass article written mainly about a GP2 driver Nico Hulkenberg who was approached by Ferrari about a possible drive for the team replacing injured Filipe Massa. The publication alluded to Michael Schumacher, “another German driver” managed by Willi Weber having a secret test at Ferrari’s test facility at Mugello.

Ferrari F1 driver Felipe Massa returned to competition for the first time since his race accident at the Hungarian Grand Prix four months ago that sidelined him for the remainder of the Formula 1 season. At the 5th annual Challenge of the Stars (Desafio das Estrelas) charity race held in Brazil, the Ferrari driver finished third while the entire event was won by Michael Schumacher. Massa expressed regret, not having won the first race, but was enthused by his performance fighting from 11th place to finish 3rd. “It was a great return to racing,” said Massa, “I felt 100 per cent and I’m ready for the next one. I wish I could have won the race, but it was a victory to come from the back and finish where I finished.”

Michael Schumacher will reportedly no longer be an adviser to the Scuderia Ferrari F1 team. The seven time world champion recently renewed his contract with the Italian team through the 2012 year. However, the only news of his goal with Ferrari was about his input into the road car development department. Nothing however, was mentioned in the announcement about weather his new role would involve the F1 team. Spain´s AS, reports that Schumacher will not be involved with the Ferrari F1 team.

Ferrari’s Luca di Montezemolo is still perusing steps with the FIA needed to arrange a third Formula One car for Michael Schumacher to race in 2010.
“This is perhaps an opportunity to have a third car for each team,” the Ferrari president told Bild newspaper. “I will do everything I can. And naturally we are thinking of Michael Schumacher for our third car.”
Recent F1 dramas, rule changes, economy and politics have driven the likes of Bridgestone, Toyota & BMW out of Formula 1. The Ferrari head, will likely not have a better opportunity to make the idea work.
