Ferrari We are only automaker left in F1

Ferriari president Luca di Montezemolo speaking shortly before the unveiling of Ferrari’s 61st Formula 1 single-seater the F10 has made a claim, that hist team are the “only car manufacturer still in Formula One”. Though it is true, that several big automaker names like BMW, Honda and Toyota have chosen to part with the sport many questioned Ferrari’s claim of being the only manufacturer with names like Mercedes and Renault still participating in the upcoming 2010 championship.

Montezemolo – Formula 1 must return to cutting edge technology

Written on Ferrari’s official website, was an entry depicting and reflecting on F1s immediate past, present and a view of what Ferrari believe is foreseeable in the near future. Luca describes the current climate as a “transition phase”, reflecting on the shortcomings of the previous F1 government, difficulties faced by FOTA and Ferrari itself in coming to terms on the new Concorde Agreement.

Ferrari to put Alonso in a position to win

Luca di Montezemolo has admitted, while speaking after Ferrari’s Christmas dinner on Friday, that Ferrari had concerns about Fernando Alonso’s breakdown of relations at McLaren in 2007 repeating at Ferrari. Answering questions of reporter’s, the Italian boss stressed that Ferrari has assessed the concerns and have taken all necessary steps possible within the team, to prevent this from happening.

Massa to inspire Ferrari resurgence

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo comments while addressing the Ferrari personal at the traditional Christmas luncheon at Fiorano. “This has been a very bad year, not up to Ferrari’s usual standard,” said di Montezemolo. “There were several reasons, but we have a history and a culture of not looking for excuses. None of us is happy with the ways things went: we were hardly ever competitive enough to fight for the win and that is not our style. However, every one of us has the will and the ability to react and get back, not just to being very competitive, but also to winning.”

Di Montezemolo to step down as FOTA Presedent

It has been reported by ‘Autosprint’ that Luca Di Montezemolo is likely to step down as President of FOTA (Formula One Team Association), at the end of the year. Ferrari President, Di Montezemolo, has been FOTA President since July 2008 when the organization was formed. It is understood that he wants to concentrate on his role with Ferrari and FIAT. Di Montezemolo said to the magazine: “I took up the president role because I felt it was good to have teams competing on the track, and talking out of it like sports professionals. This is what we did. However, I have another job and I can’t do everything. So, I really think that I will step down at the end of the year.”

Alonso to restore pilot-engineer dialogue at Ferrari

Talking to Sky Sport 24, Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemolo has expressed excitement for the arrival of Alonso at Ferrari. Translated from Italian, “As in all organizations, especially those in sports, sometimes it takes some ‘fresh air’, an injection of new blood.” Alonso upon arrival with Ferrari is to work closely with the Ferrari engineering and development team. “We need to work hard to restore a dialogue between the engineers and pilots.” he added.

Montezemolo says Ferrari will win in 2010

Ferrari supremo Luca Di Montezemolo has assured the Tifosi, that Ferrari will be back on top of the podium in 2010. “I’m going to Maranello today to talk about the new car for the next season.” said Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, while being interviewed at the inauguration of the academic year at the Naval Academy of Livorno. The Ferrari boss added, that with Ferrari being a proven winner, competitors shouldn’t expect anything less in 2010.
