The idea of a street race in Rome the Eternal City, has been bouncing around for some time now. It appears that Rome has now secured the rights to stage an F1 race. Bernie Ecclestone has agreed to terms that would see a possible race around the historic streets of the Italian capital.

As Ferrari F1 Forum reported in the past, it seems that the dispute between Normand Legault and Bernie Eccelstone has been resolved and an accord has been reached which will see the return of Formula One to North American Soil. It is understood that there may be a 5 year deal in place valued at £43m. An official confirmation has not been issued yet. The shift in dates to the storied Monaco Grand Prix to accommodate the race in Montreal.
