Ferrari express doubts with F10 setup and tyres

Ferrari released their 2010 Formula 1 contender last Thursday the 28th of January, but rumors circulating in German and Italian media even prior to it’s release have suggested that Ferrari’s new car, the F10 may not be all the team was hoping. Rumors be rumors, but this time Ferrari have expressed genuine concern with setup that their 2010 challenger may face in the upcoming season.

Pirelli says “No Thank You” to F1

On the announcement that Bridgestone is pulling the plug on it’s involvement in F1 as of 2011, Pirelli has quickly put the flame out on rumors that it is interested in being the tire supplier. Michelin and Bridgestone battled for several years before the FIA decided to end the tire war and award a single tire manufacturer with the honor of being the sole supplier from 2008 forward. This decision was taken after the embarrassment of the US Grand Prix at Indy in 2005 which saw all Michelin clad teams abandoned the circuit after the parade lap citing safety concerns.

Bridgestone pulls the plug on F1

Tokyo – Japanese tyre maker Bridgestone Corp a long time Scuderia Ferrari F1 team partner said on Monday that it would pull our of Formula 1 next year, dealing a even greater blow to the already stunned sport after the recent withdrawal of other high-profile F1 teams and firms due to the prevailing global downturn.

Bridgestone said it would officially terminate its contract as the official Formula 1 tyre supplier with the sports governing body the FIA, raising questions over who would replace it.
